This is a simple abstract still life painting done on basic 12×12 canvas board. It’s painted in acrylic.
I wanted to do something that was a mix of abstract and cubism. I also wanted to use some of the same techniques I’d used on two other still life paintings a few years ago that now hang in our diningroom.
Any guesses for what each object represents? Getting any feeling of citrus or a watery eye that wants to cry?

The white object on the right represents an onion and the other two objects, in yellow, represent two lemons.
Once you know what you are looking for it is much easier to tell what they represent. I’ve just taken the curves on the edges of each object, the foreground and background, and converted those to angles.
This piece isn’t nearly as complicated as the others in this style I’ve done, but I like the simplicity of this painting.
