You all know how much I love science, art, history, and education. They are all important to me, as I feel they each contain elements of how we are all connected. I think they all help us figure out who we are and what this universe holds for us. Yesterday I found Tabletop Whale; it is amazing!
It’s not your usual science site. The site was created by Eleanor Lutz and showcases her science illustrations, charts, infographics, and animations. The animated butterfly GIF that I chose for the header graphic for this post was created by Eleanor. In her words this is how it came to be:
I checked out six butterfly field guides from the library and picked out some of the species I thought were the most unique and beautiful. It’s meant as a chart of decorative species illustrations rather than an educational infographic. So it doesn’t have as much information as my other posts, but I did draw everything as true to life as I could. The book I used the most for this project was Butterflies of North America by Brock JP and Kaufman K.
I’m very excited to see what she will come up with next! I suggest you check out her website and follow her on social media.
