Move Over Monday #Monoprints

img200

These free form monoprints are more developed than many of my monoprints. They are typically much more abstract. I’ve gone back and added watercolor, acrylic paint, and oil pastel to enhance form, composition, and color many times, so the original prints aren’t seen, except in the background here and there. Mid #Summer #MonoPrints

This set of monoprints started out in acrylic, printmaking ink, or iridescent watercolor. I added ink, pastels, and additional watercolors to them to flesh them out. Visit the other monoprinting tabs to see more. Hope you enjoy the gallery below! Continue reading “Mid #Summer #MonoPrints”

The last is a painting I call “forest edge on fire,”which happens to be my favorite of this bunch. Continue reading “January 2016 #Collage, #MixedMedia & #Painting”

Completed #Paintings From The End Of 2015

P1020778

I finished all of these at the end 2015. I put them on Facebook, but didn’t put them on the site or through Twitter. All are acrylic paintings, but the red abstracts and the leaf collage incorporate mixed media elements as well.   Continue reading “Completed #Paintings From The End Of 2015”

Still Life Progression

This is the style that most of my work takes when I’m left to my own devices. Vivid colors, unusual color mixes, and a sense of movement or very obvious strokes, strikes, or marks. I’m not found of fruit still life painting, so this one will most likely be turned into something else at some point.

8 Things You Didn’t Know About The Artist Vincent Van Gogh

Viewed thus, men don’t play a very noble role — well, but that is in fact the case. It doesn’t apply in general, though, because … does the candle burn for the sake of the moth? If one knew that — well then — it might well be worthwhile committing suicide that way. Vincent van Gogh
