An old piece made new, that is showing at the exhibition. I liked the original piece, but I love this evolved interpretation of my work. Titled ” Zygocacti Essence,” this is a paper, photo paper, tissue paper, and acrylic collage still life. Not only do I love it for the colors rich red, pink, and black, but I love the circles, versus the gagged lines, versus the horizontal lines. You can still see some of the original paining, through the pink back wall, as the shadow of the plant. To me the piece feels vivacious, joyful, and playful. It’s one of my new favorites!
