Late spring, here in New Hampshire, is when the garden is in hyper drive and its stays that way after the beginning of summer. We’ve continued to have thunderstorms and large down pours, so the plants and the flowers are larger and lasting longer than might be normal. Leaves often remind me of glass beads. I’ve always loved the way light filters through glass. When the light is fullest I love to look up through the canopy and watch the light dance through the leaves. Those two thoughts fused to create these two landscapes. I’m going to call them Light Dance 1 & 2.

Since we are locked in the dead of winter in New England right now, with a new snowstorm hitting as I write, I thought I’d share photos of ice crystal gardens that have formed on the windows of the house. Enjoy!
