Soggy, Snowy Start To #Spring

Spring flowers broke through the ground several weeks ago and flowered about a week and a half after that. Way too early for this to be happening. The crocuses were in full bloom and the tulip leaves in the yard stood about three to four inches above ground. It was nice that it felt like spring. It was like living in a dream. But it wasn’t meant to last.

Next was a winter storm that left a hefty amount of snow and sleet. Then as it drifted away it decided to coat everything in ice. It made for a very pretty display. It was heavy wet snow and caused many outages throughout the state, though thankfully we were spared.

Today is drenching rain; as much as two inches are expected. The ground is saturated from all the melting snow. The ground is also still largely frozenish. Though it has thawed enough to be soggy. Not fun for anyone.

But as all of us know here in NH, this is what March really looks like.
