Late spring, here in New Hampshire, is when the garden is in hyper drive and its stays that way after the beginning of summer.  We’ve continued to have thunderstorms and large down pours, so the plants and the flowers are larger and lasting longer than might be normal. #MixedMedia Sea Dragon in #Ink #Watercolor & #Acrylic

 

This fanciful sea dragon was done on card stock. It started out as a printmaking ink mono print, but as soon as I did the initial impression I saw the sea dragon and I knew I wanted to do the rest in watercolor and acrylic. It’s light and feels like summer to me; a great counter point to this time of year in New England. She’s just magical. One of my new favorites.
